Hello! These high-waisted flares have been hanging in my closet for a couple months just waiting for the perfect top. When I saw this blouse on Rent the Runway, I knew it would give just the right mix of modern and vintage
that I was looking for. I can’t wait for cooler weather down here in North Carolina, these jeans are no doubt a Fall staple.

Hi there! I’m so excited to finally share my favorite Summer sandals with you! I purchased these without knowing anything about the brand and was blown away when I received my shoes. Not only are they handcrafted in Italy but they arrive in a beautiful gold trimmed shoe box that includes a dust cover. If that wasn’t enough, there was a hand written note addressed to me on the inside of the box. Best of all, these are absolutely affordable in the world of Italian leather shoes. I’m already eyeing these to add to my Fall/Winter wardrobe.
On to the main event, this dress! This neckline is by far my favorite detail of this piece. I can’t turn down a beautiful high neckline (especially when it involves lace). Rachel Zoe is the epitome of class and I’ve loved her line since it launched in 2009. Rachel Zoe knows how to nail a feminine silhouette that looks elegant on a wide range of sizes. Keep

Erik and I spent the weekend relaxing and strolling around Raleigh. You should have seen my face when we passed by this giant cat mural in the middle of the city! Anyone that knows me knows I love cats so it was a no brainer to capture the moment. This is easily the most comfortable and stylish dress I’ve worn in a while. I usually have to worry about white dresses being see through and this one wasn’t at all. Plus, it has pockets, for all my pocket loving ladies! Lastly, this purse has been by my side for weeks. It has even replaced by laptop bag. If it’s good enough for Heidi Klum, it’s good enough for me! See her toting it in black below. Swoon!
Until next time, cheers!
Happy Holidays! In the midst of all the (good) chaos that the holidays bring, Erik and I managed to sneak off to Nashville for his birthday weekend. We had a really great time relaxing and walking around the city. I brought two sweaters and a bag from Rent the Runway and I’m embarrassed to admit that this black sweater was worn at least once a day while we were there. I’m sure the hotel staff thought the airport lost my bag! It really is THAT great.
On another note, if you ever find yourself in Nashville looking for a great restaurant, Erik and I LOVED Chauhan Ale and Masala House. Such a great atmosphere and the Indian food was delicious!
This year’s VMAs may have been one of the wildest shows I’ve watched in a while. Luckily, the red carpet brought a nice balance to the the evening’s performances and unpolished speeches. Black dresses ruled the night and I was loving every minute of it. Here is my list of the best dressed alongside a similar look you can sport off the red carpet. All similar looks can be rented from Rent The Runway. Cheers! Hilary

Thanks for stopping by! Hilary
P.S. Is there anything this bag doesn’t go with?
